River journeys on the Miño River

One of the most popular activities for visitors to Lugo province is a ride on one of the catamarans that the Lugo government operates on the Miño and Sil rivers.

OS PEARES

This is a journey along the river Miño from Os Peares to the island of Maiorga and back. From the catamaran there are great views of river and the impressive Romanesque architecture so characteristic of the Ribeira Sacra. The ride includes a short stop at the island of Maiorga.

BELESAR

This journey on the Miño River is from the village of Belesar to the island of Maiorga and back with a short stop at the island. The views of the vineyards from the river are fantastic and give an understanding of the difficulty and effort required for the operation of the vineyards in this Denomination of Origin. Belesar pier facilities include a restaurant/bar that specializes in local cuisine.
